Say it, Move it, Remember it: Teaching Letter Sounds That Stick
Retention of letter sounds is not always an easy task, especially for multilingual learners. My students and I decided to come up with our own movements that coincided with each letter sound to help them retain those letter sounds. By doing this, we turned abstract sounds into something they can see, hear, and feel! Saying each sound and using movement with each sound activates multiple parts of the brain at once. This is called multisensory learning. Your students will remember sounds faster and retain them longer. Feel free to use my video or make up your own movements!
